Working With and Supporting Paraprofessionals in the Special Ed Classroom

In this course, Dr. Robert Pennington from The University of Louisville will take learners through the ins and outs of working with paraprofessionals in the classroom.

This course covers the following 5 modules:

  • Roles and Responsibilities 
  • Planning 
  • Training 
  • Inclusive Settings 
  • Building Relationships 

Dr. Pennington is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, Doctoral Level and is a Ph D. of Special Education from the University of Kentucky. His teaching areas include autism and intellectual disability as well as behavior analytic approaches to communication. Robert has authored or co-authored over 30 journal articles and books chapters including Preventing School Failure, An examination of teacher and student behavior in classrooms for students with moderate and severe disabilities.
